Throughout this campaign, we've focused on the issues, including the wasteful spending and corrupt pay-to-play process Marcy Kaptur has engaged in.

We began with The Kaptur Files, a website devoted to detailing her votes and actions and each week we released a particular pork project she supported. Here is the countdown so far:

  • #10 - $100,000 to a boxing club in Nevada – total pork projects in the bill: 1,987
  • #9 - $138,000 to ACORN in Arkansas – total pork project in the bill: 11,772
  • # 8 - $500,000 to a teapot museum in North Carolina – total pork projects in the bill: 1,987
  • #7 - $1,500,000 to the Presidio Heritage Center in California – total pork projects in the bill: 2,322
  • #6 - $200,000 for a tattoo removal program in California – total pork projects in the bill: 9,287
  • #5 - $200,000 for an opera house in W. Virginia – total pork projects in the bill: 2,007
  • #4 - $90,000 for a cowgirl museum and hall of fame in Texas – total pork projects in the bill: 7,500

  • #2 - $50,000,00 for an indoor rainforest in Iowa – total pork projects in the bill: 7,000

Which leaves us with the #1 pork project – the infamous 'bridge to nowhere' in Alaska.
